Karolyn Nunnallee was the seventh president of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), serving 1998-1999. Ms. Nunnallee's ten-year-old daughter, Patty Nunnallee, was killed in the Carrollton bus disaster in 1988. The school bus in which her child was riding was hit by a drunk driver with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .24 percent traveling the wrong way on an interstate highway in Kentucky. The resulting fire killed 24 children and three adults, and injured 34 others aboard the bus.
